Who I am
My name is Chelsea and I’m an aspiring Costume Designer who recently graduated from the Arts University Bournemouth with a BA honours in Costume and Performance Design. I Have a great interest into breaking down costumes and designing for the 70s and 80s.
I have been interested in costume since a very young age when my Gran taught me how to sew and used to take me to pantomimes every year. I love looking at the details of costumes and what they can say about a character.
Costume for me is a artistic medium to convey personality and the strength and motive of each character. I love designing for strong women who own their femininity and strength. Strong female role models is something very important to me and is something is wish to convey in my work.
